What is a Knight of God?

Webster's Dictionary defines the word Knight as a well-trained soldier, or any person who is a member of any association that designates its members as Knights.  In the Middle Ages, in England, a Knight was one who served (gaining training and experience) first as a page, then as a squire, and then was promoted to Knight.  So when we say that we are Knights of God, we are expressing who we are: a Christian Soldier (Knight) in service to Jesus Christ our King.    We know and recognize that we did not choose him, but that he first choose us.  The scripture admonishes all Christians to be good soldiers of Jesus Christ.

It is Written:

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that goes to war entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who chose him to be a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:3-4 AV)
