The Knights of God
A Knight Is Subject Only To The Authority Of God.
As a knight you are subject only to the authority of GOD. GOD is our Sovereign and our KING and the ultimate authority in Heaven and Earth. GOD has the right to be King because he is the Creator of all things. GOD has the power to be King because he possesses all power in Heaven and in Earth. GOD has given all power in Heaven and in Earth unto Jesus Christ his Son. Jesus is GOD's delegated authority in the earth.
In the Kingdom of GOD, we are subjects of GOD, our King, and GOD is the ultimate source of all the authority that each of us are subject to. GOD has placed his authority in the earth, and we must submit ourselves to his delegated authority wherever it is found. So if we are truly subject to the authority of GOD, we will also submit ourselves to this delegated authority wherever it is found.
In I Cor. 11:3 Paul wrote: "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ;" God uses the term "every man" so that all men everywhere would know that this applies to them and not only to a select few who claim special privilege and rank with God over their peers. Christ is the authority (or head) of "every man" making each and every man subject to and accountable unto Christ and Christ alone.
Before the death of Jesus, God used priests, who sacrificed the blood of animals, in order to reconcile us to himself, but now we are reconciled to God through the shed blood of Christ, and we no longer need a priest to bridge the gap between us and God, for under the New Covenant, (the one ratified by Jesus' blood), we are all Kings and Priests, and as such, we can boldly come before him. The LORD requires each of us to have a One-on-One personal relationship with him.
In I Cor. 11:3 Paul wrote: " Be ye followers (imitators) of me, even as I also am of Christ". Many have failed to understand that Paul was not telling us to follow him, but to follow Christ as he followed Christ: He was saying, "Follow my example - Imitate me". The scripture admonishes us in Heb. 12:21 "to look (place our focus) upon Jesus", not Paul, a pastor, or any other man. We need to follow GOD, not men.
1Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith"
So do we submit to GOD by submitting to men, or do we submit to Men by submitting to GOD.
Many have fallen short of the mark because they chose to follow man. They were taught their church leaders were their covering and that they must submit themselves to them (as pastors, elders, teachers, etc.), and that by submitting to church leadership they were submitting to GOD. And these church leaders were taught that they needed to in like manner submit themselves to the leadership over them.
In the Old Testament the nation of Israel wanted a king to go out before them to fight their battles. Even so the church wants to have a king to go before them and to help them fight their battles. But is this really God's will.
So I ask, do we submit to GOD by submitting to men? Only if such men are authorized by GOD and are operating within the scope of the authority afforded to them by GOD.
As believers, each of us must submit ourselves unto God. To do this we must submit ourselves not only to the Person we call GOD, and to the authority that he has delegated in the earth. So if you are truly submitted to God, you will also submit yourself to his authority wherever it is found. God has given us governments, laws, church leaders, and each other who he says we need to submit ourselves to. When you do so you are submitting yourself to GOD as you should be. Joseph submitted himself to GOD submitting himself to the authority that God had placed over him. When Potifer's Wife (who was in authority) over Joseph commanded him to commit adultery with her, Joseph refused, as what she was commanding him to do was in opposition to God's law, and Joseph refused because he chose to submit to the higher authority, GOD.
As believers we are each subject to the authority of God. If God tells you to do something you need to submit yourself to him. The authority of God is manifested in a number of different ways on the Earth:
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation 4:10-11)
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 28:18 AV)
He was before us and we were brought into being by Him. We are His handiwork and the work of His hands.
1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 ¶ And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lightest every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:1-12 AV)
Because GOD is the ultimate authority, only he can delegate that authority to others. According to the Holy Bible, GOD has established authority on the Earth as follows:
GOD
CHRIST
Men
Women
Children
It is Written
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. (Ephesians 5:22 - 31)
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may with the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversations coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that of outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. (Peter3:1-7)
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (I Corinthians 11:2)
God uses the term "every man" so that we would know that this applies to all men everywhere and not only to a select few who claim special privilege and rank with God over their peers. Christ is the authority (or head) of "every man" making each and every man subject to and accountable unto Christ and Christ alone.
In times past, in Israel, God used the sons of Aaron to act as priests who sacrificed the blood of animals to reconcile Israel to God. Then Jesus came and died for our sins so that we can now be reconciled to God through the shed blood of Christ. We no longer need priests to bridge the gap between God and ourselves . Under the New Covenant (the one ratified by Jesus' blood) we are all Kings and Priests!
That God is our King and sovereign and he is our Authority. All authority in heaven and in earth comes from God. As KING he has all rights, and the only rights we have are what he bestows upon us.Note: This section is currently under construction and is incomplete, and subject to change.
